You must not have been convicted of a felony or one of the misdemeanours of theft, embezzlement, fraud, extortion, forgery, counterfeiting, grievous bodily harm, drug offences or offences relating to public morals.

The person concerned (natural and legal person) must not have been declared bankrupt.

In case the total number of vehicles leased by the person concerned exceeds 10, he/she shall possess or hire an office facility and a parking space for at least 50% of the vehicles, and a minimum area of 6 sq.m. per leased vehicle shall be provided. In case the total number of vehicles hired by the person concerned does not exceed 10, he/she shall own or hire an office establishment without being required to have a parking space.

Leased vehicles must have a maximum driving time of 12 years from the date of issue of the first licence.

If the person concerned has old passenger cars of historical interest (antiques) for hiring, these must: - carry conventional registration number plates of private cars. - be owned by the rental companies - date at least 30 years from the year of their construction

Fees / Imposts

  • Renting company for private passenger cars without driver. Administrative fee of three hundred (300) euros with the code ALE 1450189001 in favour of the Greek State, plus 2% ‘other stamp duty fees’ with the code ALE 1110489001 and 0.4% ‘additional 20% stamp duty fee’ with the code ALE 1110403001, payable in any Tax Office. Alternatively, the issue of the administrative fee can be completed via the online e-paravolo platform using the taxisnet codes of the interested party, in the fee code 5714, while the amount of money of the offence can be paid either at a bank store or via web-banking.

This justification is submitted to the Regional Tourism Service of the Ministry of Tourism in question every five years.
